Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) is a granular glass composed primarily of calcium oxide (CaO), silicon dioxide (SiO 2), aluminium oxide (Al 2 O 3), and magnesium oxide (MgO) [76,77,78,79]. It is an amorphous by-product of the production of pig iron from iron ore, coke combustion residue, and fluxes such as limestone [48,54,75].
